Looking for a natural, multi-purpose balm? Well, look no further, we have the ultimate multi-tasker!

We are excited to tell you about our new, soon to be, cult beauty product…. Beeluxe.  This lightweight multi-purpose balm is packed full of skin-loving ingredients including Propolis Extract, Honey, Vitamin E, Beeswax, Shea Butter, and Glycerol to name a few. 💛

Made with only the finest natural ingredients, our unique formulation protects, moisturises, hydrates, and soothes skin of all ages.

People often start using Beeluxe natural balm as a skin moisturiser.  We find that using it twice a day does wonders for creating soft, smooth skin.  However, Beeluxe really can be used anyway externally.  It can be used as long-lasting lip balm, a soothing after-shave balm, a restorative hand and cuticle cream, to calm sun-exposed skin, to soothe angry nappy rash, to nourish cracked heels and dry elbows, to tame unruly eyebrows.  Beeluxe really is a little pot of wonderfulness 😊

But let’s take a closer look at all those lovely natural ingredients and how they’re beneficial to our largest organ, our skin….

💛 Propolis Extract

Propolis extract is a natural resinous mixture produced by honeybees from substances collected from parts of plants, buds, and exudates.  Skin loves propolis as it softens and moisturises.  It can be used on all skin types, hydrating dry skin and absorptive to those with oily skin.

💛 Honey

Honey is a natural humectant, so it keeps the skin moist but not oily.  A humectant is something that retains or preserves moisture.  As well as being super moisturising, honey has mild antibacterial and antiseptic properties, making it beneficial for those with oily and acne-prone skin.

💛 Vitamin E

According to the official database for cosmetic ingredients, the function of vitamin E is an ‘antioxidant’ and a ‘skin conditioner – occlusive’.  Ingredients that are occlusive are moisturising agents that work by forming a protective layer on the surface of your skin and create a barrier to prevent moisture loss.

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin that acts as an antioxidant, helping protect cells from damage.  It’s found in our sebum (skin oil), which creates a natural barrier to keep moisture in your skin.

💛 Beeswax (Cera Alba)

Beeswax has been used topically since the ancient Egyptian times.  It creates a protective layer on the skin.  It’s also a humectant, which means it attracts water.  Both qualities help the skin stay hydrated.  Beeswax is also a natural exfoliator, ideal for sloughing away dead skin cells.

💛 Shea Butter

Shea butter is typically used for its moisturising effects.  These benefits are tied to shea’s fatty acid content, including linoleic, oleic, stearic, and palmitic acids.  When you apply shea topically, these oils are rapidly absorbed into your skin.  They act as a ‘refatting’ agent, restoring lipids and rapidly creating moisture.  This restores the barrier between your skin and the outside environment, holding moisture in and reducing your risk of dryness.

💛 Glycerol

Glycerol is a known humectant and is great at locking in moisture.  It’s also a skin-replenishing and skin-restoring ingredient and is naturally found in skin. It helps to establish normal balance and hydration.

💛 Canola Oil

Canola oil is rich in vitamins and encourages the production of collagen, which can improve the elasticity of the skin, meaning that it has anti-aging properties.  It’s also an antioxidant and highly moisturising which helps balance the oil production of the sebum, meaning that its soothing to the skin and may help those prone to breakouts and acne.  Canola oil contains fatty acids which help hydrate the skin for longer.

💛 Pollen Extract

Pollen extract contains a balance of vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, fats, enzymes, and essential amino acids. Bees mix pollen with a small amount of saliva or nectar to create pollen loads. The pollen collected from bees constitutes a natural source of antioxidants such as phenolic acids and polyphenols. In addition to antioxidant protection, the phenols and flavonoids of bee pollen also provide skin-soothing and astringent properties.

Since we have the bees to thank for many of the skin-loving ingredients, we wanted to show our appreciation to the bees, so for every pot sold, we will donate £1 to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. 🐝

As well as creating such an amazingly, hard working natural balm, we were also keen to develop a product that was sustainable.  That is why we are proud to offer our balm in a fully recyclable and compostable cardboard container.  Not only does this reduce waste, but it also promotes the use of eco-friendly materials.  By choosing Beeluxe, you can feel good knowing that your purchase is not only good for your skin, but also good for the environment.
