These NorthVit Total Bone brand British made vegetarian supplements are good value at 180 tablets that last 3 months taken 2 a day. They’re not small but all calcium tablets seem to be this size, they contain 400 mg of calcium per tablet, plus 180 mg magnesium, 2.5 mg of zinc, plus 50 mg of D3 all per tablet. I’ve found in my 50’s extra calcium is needed as my bones change in menopause. I’ve found my teeth are less sensitive too since taking calcium. I recommend these supplements to all women over 50. You will get about three months supply of a vegetarian supplement with Calcium Magnesium Zinc and Vitamin D3 to support your bones health and density.
The tablets are medium to large in size and easy to swallow, with a slight aftertaste afterwards, but nothing too overpowering and no side effects afterwards (not that I noticed).
You have to take two tablets a day, which might be a bit much, especially for those who have issues swallowing bigger pills, so I recommend breaking them in half and taking it piece by piece. I would recommend taking them after a meal for better absorption and avoiding any potential stomach issues, especially when at the beginning of taking the supplement.
I think it is a really good supplement for a very small price considering you will get three months supply, so I definitely recommend this choice.

I always take Vitamin D all year as I had a deficiency in the past and find a supplement helps me to keep my levels up. My husband asked his doctor if he should also be taking it and the advice was that almost everyone would benefit from taking it except in the summer, when it is only necessary if they don’t get much sunlight.
This product is ideal as calcium is helpful for me as I was diagnosed as at risk of osteoporosis some years ago, (when in my 60s) and have always ensured I get enough calcium along with trying to do some weight – bearing exercise daily, which also helps. The zinc and magnesium are not always easy to source from my diet so having those included to us an extra safeguard, so overall these tablets are ideal for me as a long-term, routine supplement to help support my health.
Easy to take, economical to buy, a very helpful supplement.
